The Facts
Andrew T. McDonald is an award-winning journalist living in the Bluegrass region of Kentucky. He is a graduate of Seattle Pacific University and the University of Southern California. One joy he derives from writing, whether fiction or non-fiction, is exploring the private thoughts of his subjects – their personal struggles, their fears, their dilemmas, and ultimately, their compromises. Michaelangelo described sculpting as one in which the finished product is already within the block of marble, but that the artisan’s task is to chisel away that which is unnecessary. That’s just as true in writing as it is in both sculpting and life.
